The Putnam Machine Products metrology lab is equipped with the latest technology to reduce inspection, while improving overall component quality in a quest for zero defects.

 

Climate Controlled Metrology Lab

The 1,200 square foot metrology lab is temperature and humidity controlled and monitored for accurate dimensional measurements at standard conditions.

 

Automated, High Accuracy Coordinate Measuring Machine

A Brown & Sharp® Excel UHA DCC CMM system provides consistent three-dimensional measurement, documentation, and recording at accuracies approaching the sub-micron range (< 0.001mm).

(3) Optical Profile Automatic Gauging Systems

Brown & Sharp® Profile and Hommel Opticline Contour 810 CCD/Optical Gauging Systems automate measurement of cylindrical work-pieces up to Ø100mm by 850mm long. Measurements of ALL external characteristics including diameters, angles, lengths, radii, threads, run-outs, and geometric tolerances can be made in as little as 20 seconds with accuracies approaching 0.000080 inches (0.002mm).
